The use of negative space here is really interesting as it can be used to interlace two images together in an effective way. The night and day contrast on the top image means it can be seen in two ways at the same time, it tricks the eye but is intriguing all the same. I think the images that are framed in another image are an effective way of communicating as they convey two meanings out of one image.
